
Enhancing the socioeconomic potential of American Indians and Native Hawaiians through job training and education

The Indian Training & Education Center (ITEC) is a federally funded program authorized under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). ITEC serve Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals living in Utah who are pursuing education or career training.
ITEC supports students enrolled in high school or GED programs, college, and other approved training and workforce development programs. We offer continuous recruitment and have no application deadlines, allowing eligible students to apply at any time throughout the year.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for ITEC services, students must meet the following requirements:
High school students are an exception to the 12‑month completion requirement. Eligible high school students may participate in the program for all four years of high school and may begin participation in any grade at any time during the school year.
